1. Why does there have to be so much hate/anger/pain/abuse/poverty/injustice/suffering in the world?
2. What exactly causes cancer and is there anything that can be done to stop it?
3. When will my kids consistently sleep through the night?
4. Why do some things have to be so hard?
5. Why does there have to be such a humungous gap between the rich and the poor?
6. Will I ever feel healthy again?
7. Will I ever feel good enough?
8. Will Jonathan get a good, stable, reliable job that he enjoys when he's finished school?
9. Will we ever live on an acreage?
10. Will my kids turn out well? Or mainly, will they live lives that love and serve Jesus?
Just some of the thoughts mulling around in my head today. I could probably add so many more to this list if I spent more time thinking about it. And I know that sin is the answer to some of these questions but I'd still like to know why it has to be that way.
What about you? What questions do you wish you had answers to?
I believe I heard this from Tracey's husband via Tracey and I found it really comforting... but in way of answering number 1 & 2... the simple answer is: this isn't heaven. I know we want more explanation that that... but it's the truth. The current world we live in is fallen. These things will exist.
I'm praying for your health right now Heather, that you will be strong and healthy. (((hugs))) And You ARE good enough RIGHT NOW. :)
