Yawwwwwn. It seems I'm always tired these days. I'm sure part of it is due to having 2 little kids who are still up most nights at one point or another but I've recently learned that a lot of it is due to some health stuff going on with me too. I am not a morning person so I have a really hard time getting out of bed in the morning and this week was particularly hard. What I really wanted to do all day was just stay in bed and read and nap.* So that's what I decided my photo for this week would be.
*I would like to make it clear that I was really only in bed for a matter of about 5 minutes while I took some photos and didn't even get one page of my book read before I needed to get back to the kids.
Be sure to check out how tired everyone else is this week too. :)

I love this. And I also love seeing little peaks inside friend's homes. I love the artwork hung next to your bed. :-)
And I so get you. My kiddos are 6 and 3 and one of them is either up during the night for water or a snuggle, or they are up at 5:30. Just. Can't. Win.
And how is the book??? You are making me want to read it again!

Wouldn't it be wonderful to actually be able to stay in bed and read somedays? My kids are grown and gone and I still can't bring myself to indulge in reading in bed during the day. I will curl up in a chair and read though.

Some day, when our kids our older, we won't be able to get them out of bed. Won't that be divine?! :) Love the headboard and love that book. It's so good!

Great book! :) Gorgeous headboard and quilt. Fun to see other people's rooms.
Love this post. I totally get the not being a morning person. It becomes especially hard if you're not a morning person. I'm still up with Max once a night, when he comes to get me. And for the sake of wanting to get some sleep, I just crawl into bed with him. It won't last forever, right? :)

This would be my dream day, too.
It will get better as they get older. I promise. :)

I was just telling my husband the other day how I would love to spend one whole day in bed (not sick of course.)
And my love of late nights on top of side effects of anemia and thyroid make me one sleepy mama. So feel ya.

I hear you. I'm not a nightowl but lately I've been staying up later and later trying to get some stuff done and actually have some 'me' time and that just makes the whole next day worse. :) Oh to have a day in bed just to read....

I could stay all day in bed and read too. In fact, I read your post this morning on my ipad, in bed. Just now getting around to commenting on everyones' photos!
And I love that head board, but I really love the kids art on the wall. :)

Love this photo and little story with it, so cute and truthful. Hope you get some real rest!

Such is life with kids. Never a minute to ourselves:) Love your headboard and quilt and the artwork on the side, so sweet. Hope your nights get better. If it makes you feel better, someone always finds their way into my bed in the wee hours of the night.

I'm with Jenn, for me I stay up too late trying to get 'me' time, then I'm a tired cranky mama the next day when I haven't gotten enough sleep. I would so love to sleep in again...

I love the quilt. Did you make it? Reading in bed. It's wonderful, but doesn't happen very often. Now I know why our mom loves it. How is the book?
